THEMATIC AI is pleased to announce that the company has completed the agreement with Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation JAPAN.
THEMATIC AI developed in 2017 a range of methods to detect certain particles specifically targeted for geophysical research applications. Short-wave infrared (SWIR) cameras are very exciting because the sensors are capable of imaging beyond the visible spectrum. SWIR cameras are used in various applications such as machine vision, circuitry inspection, quality inspection, and environmental discoveries.
THEMATIC AI collaborates with cross functional teams, and is currently designing applications around the high quality SWIR sensors of Sony Semiconductors Solutions Corporation Japan.
"The agreement with Sony Semiconductors Solutions Corporation Japan, allows our micro circuitry architects to access the data needed to maximize the capabilities of their sensors”, said CEO and fellow architect Raymund Kho.
It is expected that THEMATIC AI will present the first robot systems using Sony’s SWIR sensor group in 2025.

THEMATIC AI ontwikkelde in 2017 een reeks methoden om bepaalde deeltjes te detecteren die specifiek gericht zijn op geofysische onderzoek toepassingen. Kortegolf-infrarood camera's (SWIR) zijn erg spannend omdat de sensoren in staat zijn om beelden buiten het zichtbare spectrum te tonen. SWIR-camera's worden gebruikt in verschillende toepassingen, zoals machine vision, circuit inspectie, kwaliteitsinspectie en omgeving ontdekkingen.
THEMATIC AI werkt samen met cross-functionele teams en ontwerpt momenteel toepassingen rond de hoogwaardige SWIR-sensoren van Sony Semiconductors Solutions Corporation Japan.

De verwachting is dat THEMATIC AI in 2025 de eerste robotsystemen zal presenteren die gebruik maken van Sony’s SWIR-sensor groep.
